Dr. Nadia Wong
MB ChB (New Zealand)
Dr. Nadia Wong is our resident Singaporean General Physician at SingMed Medical Center. She graduated from the University of Otago, New Zealand in 2010. Her medical training was conducted in Dunedin and Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand, following which she did her hospital internship at Waikato Hospital in Hamilton, New Zealand. Upon gaining registration, she moved to Cambodia to work in private practice.
Dr. Wong has been in General Practice in Phnom Penh for the past 7 years. With her vast experience in managing medical conditions locally, she is able to consult with expatriates and local Cambodians alike for various ailments. She builds good rapport with her patients and is able to establish a close patient-doctor relationship. Her particular interests are in paediatric vaccinations and adult general health screening.
Dr. Wong enjoys doing voluntary work in Cambodia. She previously went on medical mission trips to the provinces and prisons. She currently volunteers with the non-governmental organisation St John Phnom Penh in her free time, assisting in conducting first aid training for the Cambodian St John members and embarking on humanitarian missions to the provinces with the St John Singapore teams.
Dr. Vanthyda Ros
MD (International University, Cambodia)
Dr. Vanthyda Ros is our resident Cambodian General Physician at SingMed Medical Center. She graduated from International University, Phnom Penh in 2015 with Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of English. She attained her Medical Doctor Degree in 2018 upon completion of the state examinations. Furthering her training in ultrasound techniques at Centre Echographique du Cambodge (CEC), she received her Certificate of Completion of Ultrasonography in 2017.
Dr. Ros has a variety of experience working in different hospitals. She worked as a General Doctor at Preah Kossamak Hospital for a year prior to joining SingMed. In addition, she did her internship at the National Paediatric Hospital and Phnom Penh Referral Hospital in Cambodia, as well as stints in Khon Kean University and Phyathai Hospital in Thailand, and Ulsan University Hospital in South Korea.
Dr. Ros is familiar with the Singapore style of consultation and management of common outpatient conditions, having undergone 3 months of focused observation at several GP and specialist clinics in Singapore. She is also a keen teacher, being appointed as associate teacher at CEC where she did her ultrasonography training.
Dr. Ros currently runs SingMed Diagnostix as the Center Manager and is our doctor performing ultrasound examinations at SingMed Medical Center.
